i love puzzles

this past weekend we traveled up north because it wasn't cold enough in minneapolis. we went to cove point lodge in beaver bay, mn about a hour north of duluth. it was beyond freezing, it was frigid with temperatures down to -15. the inside of my freezer was warmer. enough complaining, the weekend was great. we had 12 people in 2 cabins and we played scrabble, rinky dinky do (dice game), crainium, chess, and i found my new love. puzzles. not cross word or suduku, but plain old 550 piece puzzles. i bet we worked on puzzles for 3 hours+. I can't wait to retire now, not only because i won't have to work any longer, but because i can devote my time to all things puzzles. oh, and maybe i'll learn how to cook when i'm retired too.

wedding planning

so wedding planning has been so fun. over christmas i went shopping with mom, holly and a bunch of family, including greg's mom and sister and found a dress! i told greg it's purple with pink polka dots.
